If you're a computer programmer you'll understand why I used that for my blog title. Okay, first things first; my goal right now is to transfer some of a DVD to blogspot. Read the FAQ; didn't really get it. Well, let's try hitting the
button and see what happens.

okay, now I know what types I can use (avi, mpeg, etc.). So now let's Google and see how to convert a DVD to an AVI.
Hey, look! A Wiki!!

Hey, look more!! A Program; DVDx
http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=72208
About to install DVDx 2.10. And it said to close stuff on my computer so oh! just in case it's copy protected...
"This DVDx standard version has no copy protection removal capability so you may use it with a background tool like "DVD Region+CSS Free" or with a hard-drive copy tool like DVDDecrypter or SmartRipper.
DVDx standard version usually crashes when is used to backup a copy-protected DVD (unless you're running DVD Region+CSS Free in the same time).
You can get DVDx Ultra Edition from labDV.com, DVDx Ultra Edition has decrypting features, DeCSS and DeMacrovision, so it can backup any DVD by itself.
The standard version has no usage restriction in any country while you should pay attention that the Ultra Edition has some legal restriction in some countries."
Now, I just want to use this to take part of a personal DVD and make an AVI, so I shouldn't have any copyright stuff, but as the BoyScouts say...
An hour or two later....Error trying to read a DVD I had lying around of me playing a giant bear in a car seat belt safety video.
